Hometown icon, James Taylor returns to Tanglewood for just one show on July 4, 2020. Tickets go on sale to the public for this popular concert at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 3, 2020. Taylor, a folk legend, always draws a crowd to the spectacular 4th of July celebration at the Music Shed. Gates open at 5:00 PM so you can enjoy a picnic on the lawn before the show, and do plan to stay for the impressive fireworks display over the Stockbridge Bowl after the concert. Time is running out to reserve your room at the Staveleigh House Bed and Breakfast if you’re planning to attend the Independence Day festivities in the Berkshires.
Returning to Tanglewood with his All-Star Band, Taylor brings with him a litany of crowd-pleasing tunes crafted over a lifetime of performing. His hits, including “Fire and Rain”, “Sweet Baby James” and “Carolina on My Mind” propelled him towards stardom at an early age. Now with five Grammy awards and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Taylor’s affinity for songwriting earns him the honor of being one of the all-time best-selling recording artists, with more than 100 million records sold worldwide.
Don’t miss this wonderful evening of song and celebration, part of Tanglewood’s Popular Artist Series. Book your stay at the Staveleigh House Bed and Breakfast for this event or any of the wonderful concerts planned for the 2020 season.
