With a gorgeous hilltop setting and a track record of incredible performances, the summer season of Jacob’s Pillow is definitely a highlight in the Berkshires. This year’s performances will run from June 19-August 25, 2019.
Jacob’s Pillow hosts the oldest, internationally acclaimed summer dance festival in the United States—and in the more striking locations to boot! The performance center, which is at the end of a winding road, atop a hill—is named for a pillow-shaped rock on the property. Due to its historic and cultural heritage, it was named a National Historic Landmark District in 2003.
While the location is a treat, the real joy is in the performances which are held in either the Ted Shawn Theatre or the Doris Duke Theatre. The 2019 roster includes a dynamic selection of performers and includes new commissions, world premier performances, debuts, and artists from the U.S. and abroad. Below are just a few of the upcoming shows.
