With the Norman Rockwell Museum and one of the quaintest downtowns in the Berkshires, Stockbridge, Massachusetts is a favorite stop any time of year. But next month the historic setting gives us one more great reason to visit: the Stockbridge Summer Arts & Crafts Show, August 18-19, 2018.
Now in its 27th year, the annual event, sponsored by the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce, is a favorite for the breadth and quality of the work on display. The historic Main Street will be a bevy of creativity with more than 85 jury-selected artists and crafters showcasing work that includes paintings, ceramics, fiberware, and glasswork. Light refreshments will be available at the Chamber Café, courtesy of The Red Lion Inn.
The two-day event also provides visitors a wonderful chance to stroll downtown and take in all the specialty shops and galleries that line Main Street. In addition to The Red Lion Inn, you’ll find a selection of good lunch and dinner restaurants. And if you have time, be sure to visit the Norman Rockwell Museum to learn about the life and see works of the iconic painter.
