The historic downtown district of Stockbridge, Massachusetts, is the site of this year’s Stockbridge Summer Arts & Crafts Show, August 19-20, 2017. Now in it’s 26th year, this is one of the season’s most popular events in a town that everyone loves to visit.
More than 80 jury-selected artists and crafters from around the country will be taking part in the show, which will be held on the beautiful grounds of Bidwell Park and city offices. Included in the exhibitions will be a wide range of artwork with something for every interest—ceramics, fiber (decorative and wearable), furniture, glasswork, jewelry, metal, leather, painting, photography, sculpture, wood, and mixed media.
In addition to the artwork, there will be specialty foods, and booths with local Berkshire farmers and food producers. The event is within easy walking distance of the old town shopping area where you’ll find an array of specialty shops, galleries, and restaurants. If you have extra time, consider taking a walking tour of the historic town to see some of its beautiful “cottages” and other notable landmarks. You’ll find a guide on the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce website.
