Schools Rule In the Sheffield, Mass Area

The area of Southwest Massachusetts/Northwest Connecticut is a hotbed of education, sporting four notable boarding schools and one top-ranked college. And we’re convenient to all of them, making Staveleigh House a popular resting place for prospective students and parents while visiting the campuses, or while taking in the various school activities—parents’ and grandparents’ weekends, sporting and arts events, graduations and alumni gatherings. In a show of school spirit, we offer a 10% discount to guests who are affiliated with one of these schools when they book a stay directly with us.

Closest to our B&B is the Berkshire School. The day and boarding school has a beautiful campus on 400 acres. Like most of its counterparts it offers a strong curriculum with emphasis on academic, artistic, and athletic excellence.
In addition to year-round sporting and performance events, its Warren Family Gallery offers student and alumni art exhibits.
