Dinner and a show, anyone? Then plan a night over at the Infinity Hall in Norfolk, Massachusetts, just a 20-minute drive southeast of our B&B.
Originally built in 1883 as the Village Hall, the historic building was considered the first multi-use community center in the country. Home to Vaudeville shows, town meetings, lectures, and more, it was a bustling place for years, before falling into disrepair in the middle of the 20th Century. Thanks to insight and good fortune, it was purchased in 1999 and restored, reopening as the Greenwoods Theater. It was later sold at auction in 2007, renamed Infinity Hall and renovated again to include a state-of-the-art music hall and fine dining restaurant.
The music hall seats 300, and, together with its other property in Hartford, Connecticut, hosts more than 200 music and entertainment shows yearly. The Bistro, which is always open on show days for dinner (or lunch for matinees) serves a full range of dishes, from appetizers and soups to flatbreads and entrees, such as pork chops with roasted apples and sweet potato mash.
For a full listing of upcoming events, be sure to check out the Infinity Hall website. To whet your appetite, here are a few of the upcoming shows.
